Product Description: This is a flour made from ground soybeans, packed full of protein and fiber. You can't really make a bread using just soy flour, but it works well added to bread recipes to help make the texture lighter. Soy flour is excellent for mixing with vital wheat gluten to make seitan, a "veggie-meat" product that is full of protein and has virtually no fat or cholesterol while maintaining a meat-like texture. Soybeans are considered a "complete" protein, that is - they contain all of the amino acids the body needs, including the "essential amino acids", those which the body cannot produce itself. I have found this product to be readily available at local grocery stores (major chains anyhow), and is also available in various quantities on their website (there is a substantial savings when buying large bulk quantities).
